At CRBC, we believe that families are a vital part of God’s design for the church, and that children are a blessing—not a burden—in the gathered worship of God’s people.
Worshiping Together
We are a family-integrated church, which means we do not separate children from their parents for children’s church, nursery, or youth programs during the Lord’s Day worship service. Instead, we joyfully welcome all ages to worship together as one body—singing, praying, reading Scripture, and hearing the Word preached.
We believe this follows the pattern found in Scripture, where entire households gathered to hear the Word of God (Deut. 31:12–13; Neh. 8:2–3; Eph. 6:1–4). Children learn to worship by being present in worship.
Biblical Vision for Family Discipleship
God has entrusted parents—especially fathers—with the primary responsibility of discipling their children (Deut. 6:6–7; Eph. 6:4). The local church supports and equips families in this high calling, but never replaces their role.
We seek to cultivate strong, godly households where the gospel is lived out day by day, and the Lord is honored through family worship, prayer, and faithful instruction.
Encouragement for Parents
We understand that worshiping with young children can be challenging, and we want you to know: you are welcome here. We expect a little noise, and we rejoice in the presence of children in our midst.
We encourage parents to lovingly train their children to participate in worship—teaching them to sit attentively, sing joyfully, and listen to the Word. Over time, they will grow in their understanding and reverence for the Lord.
If your child becomes restless, feel free to step out briefly and return when ready. You are not a distraction; your presence is a blessing.
“Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:” —Deuteronomy 31:12
